The Setting

The story takes place in the state of California, in a small, isolated town. The residents of this town are (sometimes) very close and everyone knows each other. Whenever there is a crisis (which seems to occur alot recently), they all work together to help each other out. The town is near the coast and a large forest. There is a tiny campus taht educates children from preschool all the way to highschool, as there are few children. (There are only about 20 children in each grade, in fact.)

Character Descriptions: SAM

A 13 year old, who does not side with the general right or wrong, but the right for him. A likable orphan with a certain charisma to him, he has a bitter side that is difficult to detect.

He tries to use his clairvoyant powers to search for his long-lost parents, yet to no prevail.

Character Descriptions: JACK

19 year old, and mentally unstable, he recently escaped an asylum. (The staff at the asylum that were killed during his escape had no evidence of how/why they died since he slaughtered them with his telekinetic powers.) There are practically no files on Jack; only that his birthplace is in a small town in California.

Jack has no idea who he is, so makes his way to the town in search of his identity, and killing anyone in his way.

Character Descriptions: HOLLI

A 13 year old goof-ball and optimist. Being an optimist helps because as soon as she hit 13, her telepathic ability kicked in, and she sufferred from the multitude of thinking around her. She usually hides the fact that the ability is very draining with a bright (and sometimes fake) smile.

Holli's sister was killed in a terrible car crash, where her body was burned almost to the point where identification was impossible. However, her parents did not want Holli to know, believing that at her young age, she would not be able to handle the heart-wrenching news, thus keeping in a secret. When her parents said that her sister had moved out very far, obviously Holli knew something was wrong when her sister never contacted her. Eventually, she pursuaded her parents to tell the truth. The incident created a trust conflict between the family, and it was never the same.

Character Descriptions: EDDIE

A 16 year old boy that's 5 years old at heart who sees ghosts except that most people don't believe him. He's nice to most people but his "sixth sense" (or insanity) seems to scare off most. He's always very sympathetic to the dead that come to him, but he doesn't let anybody realize this. His only sense of humor (which Holli disagrees with; according to her, he possesses none) is his heavy sarcasm.

When Eddie was five years old, his father came home drunk and slaughtered Eddie's mother, as well as Eddie's newborn brother. When Eddie saw his mother's dead body, he saw his mother's ghost above it, carrying the newborn in her arms and crying. It scarred him for life, and was his first ghost sighting. After, Eddie's father abandoned him and left him alone. Eddie now lives with a foster family.

Character Descriptions: ZACK

A 10 year old boy who is clever and observent, but has anger issues. He will get violent if angered and people treat him like a bomb about to explode. Nobody knows, but Zack is actually an empath and can feel all the anger and sorrow around him... This drives him crazy.

His older brother used to abuse him, while his parents neglected him. One day he finally snapped when his brother was beating and threatening him on a cliff at the beach. Zack pushed his brother over the cliff side, and his brother disappeared into the ocean. When his parents found out that his brother was gone, they fear that the police would get involved. So, in a panic, they ran off without Zack, dropping him off at an orphanage.

Character Descriptions: KAYLEE

A 14 year old, lovey-dovey girl who's head is always in the clouds. She's friendly, yet people think she's weird because she always seems to be everywhere. In fact, she has the ability to astral project herself, but she thinks she's dreaming! She's also usually very confused.

Kaylee's parents left her with her aunt when she was very young and she barely remembers them. Her aunt expects her to be perfect and is very caring; however, she has very severe consequences. Kaylee deals with it though, retreating into her dreams when necessary. She and her aunt lives in Zack's old house.

On this blog, the story/script "Twisted" will be posted. "Twisted" is an original story created by Jay*, Kay*, my brother, and I. It is still in progress, so keep on visiting for more chapters or updates...
